Greetings!!! And Happy 2008

Detour from your usual bloggers, let me type something but before that, HAPPY 2008!!! This'll be the year where most of us grad, signifying our entry to the working world. Therefore, let's study hard... and play hard!

It's been a couple of months since we've all arrived back in Malaysia. How's everyone doing right now? I'm alright here, some hiccups and mishaps here and there but nothing not manageable.

So far we had 2 big gatherings, didn't we? Teluk Gong dinner, and Aaron + Prav's birthday dinner!!! Happy Birthday guys. And of course... the latest to join the 21st crew... CK and Brenda. Rock on.

Memories will always be there guys. We'll see each other again soon.

Siu come KL quick!!! No more delay, must see you around this coming Wednesday okay!? Haha. And Yao!!! We'll have post-CNY dinner together, all of us... when we are back in Melbourne. I promise this! =)

Today, the plans of going to the beach was struck with a blow when we were all told last night that Siu's granddad was in critical condition where he's brains were dead and could not survive any longer..
so the rest of us really juz sat down and think of ways to help her get back to Malaysia as soon as possible..AS SOON AS TODAY!!! Honestly we really couldnt do much besides getting her to call various airlines to try her luck and get a ticket prob with any airlines cz her half year ticket class were limited to a REALLY REALLY SMALL number of allocated seats in the plane...she had problem since august to actually get a seat to get back home in December...so she ought not to change her 30 December flight ticket...so ppl check ur flight ticket class before u travel...cz its really a hassle to get a class where there are limited seats...in siu's case it was rather because she held a 6 months ticket..n in cases like this its rather catastrophic to not get a ticket when u know ur love one back home is gonna leave and u wont be able to see em again :(

So with all the prayers that we could only make, she managed to get a flight ticket back home at 4am in the morning...THANK YOU LORD!!!!!how gorgeous are ur miracles honestly!!YOU have never failed to provide us with all the needs that we ought to seek at times like this...THANK YOU again..so her flight was scheduled at 3.40pm with a couple of friends on the same flight aka briget (mel correct me if im wrong) and alison.. this morning, nick and jimmy helped siu out with her luggage that they had to carry all the way to the city cz she had to change her ticket..so mel and prav went down to the city to help her out with that as well...once the ticket was done, prav and mel accompanied siu to the airport using the SKYBUS at southern cross..vist www.Skybus.com.au for more details...
prices are as follow: one way = AUS$15 two way = AUS$24

This service is really worth and cheap for travelers to actually would like to transfer from the airport to the city or city to airport conveniently...a taxi from the airport will be cost you ranging AUS$70 - AUS$125 depending on where u want to go from or to the airport!! it was so convenient that the stop at southern cross was located central to the city where u can take the tram or train to travel around MELBOURNE at point of arrival in the city...
So with siu mel and prav heading to the airport, me and ck headed down to the city to take the skybus to the airport to send her off as well...william came later as well..so we helped her check her luggage in, waited with her till she checked in and at 2.40pm...BON VOYAGE...take care and have a safe trip...Siu, your family and ya will always be in our prayers and we know that God has a great plan for your granddad...i had the same fate few years back that i had to let my grandma go cz she was suffering from Alzheimer..that my family had no choice but let her go with God to guide her journey to Heaven and provide her the freedom that she was deprived for almost 10 years..so take care siu and ull always be in our hearts..
Other than siu, our big man YC also leaves us tonight...he's taking the 12am flight..we'll miss u dearly YC!!hope u miss us too...catch u back in kl yea!!

its juz so gonna be different with u not around to laugh bout and the jokes we can crank out with ur words and actions....its juz will feel different...with hari already gone...now u...sigh...holidays without the both of u is just different...especially summer man!! with so many thing planned ahead...so many quotes made and jokes laughed at...itll be a memorable semester for me and the rest who just arrived this sem with u around to tour guide us around melbourne and providing me ck and praevin a place to stay while we were homeless when we arrived back in June...thank you very much donghee...have a good summer break and see u back in malaysia mate!make sure u pack ur 'hardcore books' properly, 'camwar' a lot during ur holidays. hope u enjoyed ur 'banana filter' during the not so surprised birthday...and most importantly avoid from getting 'blooding' at all cause ok! cheers mate...haha...still laughing at those moments...unforgettable...classic!

weekend after exams...

surprisingly...we're suppose to be so hyped up about exams being over and all..but it doesn't seem to be so cz some of our members were still having exams, ex. Joey and Melissa..but Joey finished yesterday so that was nice..but mel only finishes next tues..so that we still kinda have to wait for her to finish her exams before we start any programs or trips around melb...we still have many places to explore this state of Victoria...unbelievably huge i would say..yeah!!!we still have Philip Island, Peninsular for the beach- heard its great, the Melbourne zoo and for the girls-shopping...actually i have some shopping to do myself...and some of us are planning to work for this sem so we need the cash...for all this small little trips which will amount to a lump sum at the end of it...expecially with the big bill to settle for the Gold Coast trip...sigh...yea ppl will be leaving out of the country one by one starting next week..with Melbourne Uni exams finishing soon..soon the overpopulated Melbourne with Asians will settle without them for summer...i bet u they'll be so pleased not to have us around grabbing their summer jobs..

So, to what we did yesterday...we went for Sereen's birthday dinner at MEAT AND WINE CO along the Yarra River...though it was pricy and all...it was a well worth meal...the rib eye was so juicy and tasty that it takes long to even gobble down each cube of em...haha...i felt the mid rare steak were rather rare at some parts especially the middle part of the steak...a few other dishes ordered by the rest were the salmon steak, grilled chicken and some german sausage..but all were good! i would honestly recommend everyone to go to this place for dinner...a GREAT PLACE FOR FINE DINNING THIS ONE!!!!

Steak recommendation volume intake:
Ladies (big eaters) and gentlemens.....go for the 600gram steak
Ladies who wanna cut down for weight control...take the 300 itll be more than enough!!

Next we headed to the Crown Casino...some shopped..some gambled and some stoned at the food court waiting...haha...That done, most of us went home except me praevin and william...we headed to Seven Club...a rough night man i must say..cuz i was already warned by Derek that we needed to head down to the club early before 11 to be able to enter the club cz its gonna be a jam pack night with most universities have started with their summer holidays and an end to the exams for the year...so yea..not so good..met joseph there..then got his keys and drank a bottle we bought over to kick start the night before we entered..while the queue was getting longer that expected..we drank and got our things to jo's car and headed to the line!by then the line wasnt moving at all..and we waited from 11.50 till 1 before we could actually step into the premise..gosh!i couldnt imagine how f**ed up it would have been lining up for an hour and not entering in..so yea night lasted till 3 plus and headed back home...but thank you so much DEREK so much for bringing us in for the night....owe u big time man...U really tried ur best to bring everyone in to the club that night and its i know its hard cz its not for u to decide...so i wanna thank you again for all the help...cheers to u mate!

A day of ups and downs..

EXAMs are over!!!!!!!woohoo.....ok coolz...here's the time summers arriving..and the time PARTYs starting..its juz gonna be so awesome with so many things in mind..especially with the coming Parkerbains Gold Coast trip coming out...not all our members are going for it..partly some are attending this summer trip which is juz days away from today...YAY!!haha..trips on the Nov 26th-29th of Nov...this is the time where Aus high schools seniors graduate and have their summer party in gold coast as well..so there's gonna be so many ppl and its gonna be so overpopulated at Gold Coast...but that said well see more chicks and wackos on the beach...arhemm...thats part of the highlights of the trip...prav's getting worked up for this...haha...ok bout TODAY...exams ended approximately 12.45 pm...and then headed to KFC for lunch then b to the house...today is the day where our wing man, Hariharan Baithma Jothi...
leaves us to return home to dearest KL to surprise his parents and family for Deepavali..juz so exciting to hear what he was planning to do when he arrives at KLIA the next morning..haha...so he finishes packing his stuff and left straight for the city to get something for his family members while the others got some rest and get ready to head down to the city for his farewell dinner at Universal Pizza and then sent him to Teokys place to get his luggage to head to the airport..after he left we went to fredo's to get some GELATOs (durians is a BOMB really) those of u who havent tried u get some of it...FREDOs Gelatos...cant get it in Malaysia...anyway, though its juz an ordinary farewell cz were still gonna see him b in malaysia...but it still a sad and missing feeling that got into all of us that day once he left in the cab to head to the airport...all of our faces juz turned blue and depressed when he left...its juz felt like were 1 man short and his company and jokes were well missed dearly..cobain members will not have some gathering in a while now..all those times of laughters and emo days...weve been through it a lot this sem...watching games over the weekend...having unbelievabletill next sem that is...so near yet so far...

0k with some awesome response for a new post especially from the infamous fan of parkerbains blogspot, liew tsencai...haha..yea, decided might as well juz post something to keep the blog going...as we all know these few weeks have been really tough for everyone..especially this week or so...it been a killer to have so many papers in a week...whole lot of us had like 2-3 papers in one week..what a great Monash policy to have such a timetable for us...at least its not as bad as what Ghee had last sem..4 papers in 3 days...this is crazy!if i ever experience such a thing im just going to be so dead and screwed and prob be so drained..already having 3 papers in 4 days is a pain in the ass!with all the accounting and finance concepts jumbled up all together in those brain cells, its just so brain damaging!working hard is one thing but there's always a limit especially with the human brains of ours and the fact that were all slackers who just sometimes juz ignore the books for the laptop and the world wide web..its just us, being ignorant and with the will to enjoy life to the fullest just brushes away the purpose of life and screws the direction that we seek to lead in the coming future...then again I personally think,sometimes, taking exams is just a waste of time..who ever created EXAMS?besides the fact that we used to compete in school for better marks just to be top of the entire year just makes us feel better..but sometimes exams juz aint good enough for me...its juz another way to test the brain power and making ways to keep us going...sigh...its probably just another one of those days where were juz stressed up..so such an emo post as this deserves some lightening up with some photos from our sem break visit to the tulip farm...we also did go the the annual royal melbourne show, a carnival thats so awesome but there isn any graphical representation for these event because we forgot to take them..we have some pics that night though but aint in the premises!!the rides are awesome..once u enter the area, JUST SURRENDER UR WALLET..the rides and those crazy cheap party packs are juz so irresistible..had really great fun...here are the pics..wait before i forget for those ppl out there who still have papers to burn the midnight oil for, GOD BESS U ALL and GOODLUCK from all the members from parkerbains...we know u all will just do so great for it...sems over so fast...it just too fast...soon before we know it...graduation is just around the corner..

Parkerbains Holiday Dinner

Mid semester break was a rather relaxing one..haha...did a lot of crap besides studying...so yea thats life for us...cant be bothered to study since this is the only break we get before the FINALS...yea shouldnt remind everyone that its getting close...but its reality..and its approaching at the speed of light...without realising its just around the corner...it has been a journey for us who just came here back in JUNE..n now its already OCTOBER...oh my gosh..its so fast..time really tells everything..man...k forget the stress and emo part..back to the holidays...

HOLIDAYS BREAK was 22-30th of Sept...for all monash mates...and 15-30th Sept for our fellow Melbourne uni mates..seriously it just isnt fair...they start later in sem 2 and they get 2 weeks off...zzz..so we started off our mid sem break with a bang..WHAT IS, a PLANETSHAKERS event on friday,21st Sept to kick off with and some off us headed to Seven Club to celebrate the beginning of holidays and a friend's birthday...thanx to Danny who invited us...thx man for the shots as well man...ur an awesome dude...

On Sat, 22nd Sept...we had a PARKERBAINS pre holiday dinner...Ghee cooked the most loved food..BAH KU TEH!!!!!!and Brenda made awesome pies and lagsana...food was great..and nice bottles..haha..had Smirnoff Premium and Black Douglas for the night...After dinner..it was TEXAS HOLD'EM time...everyone gathered to have a go at the shot of the money in the pot..then it was pure relaxation...watching EPL and chat round take pics..so these are the pics for the night...enjoy...

Merdeka Celebration & Open house BBQ

Since praevin, hari, ck, william and I are new tenants of the COBAINS, we had to have some party to commemorate this new place of ours in Melbourne... PLUS we never had a super big happening PARTY at this new place with our awesome friends we met here and knew back in KL..So we decide to have it in conjunction with our country's 50th Independence Day!!!!!!!woohoo...... Therefore, Parkerbains members decided that we shall take the celebration into our own hands and celebrate it on Saturday, 1st Sept since its not a public holiday here as we always did back in KL!! some of us and our dear guests have classes on merdeka friday...SADLY..so the other members who were free took time on thursday and friday to get everything we had on the list for the BBQ...if u ever think partying is tiring..wait till u go shopping on FOOT at another suburb for all this stuff!!!!!!!we had travel to and back from Springvale by bus and train...ITS CRAZY!! we had so many of us but there still wasnt enough hands for all the junks that we bought...if we were back in MALAYSIA it wouldnt be a problem u see...our rides will be there at all cost...unfortunately that isnt the case here...

anyway heres what we went through....
i)Thursday shopped for stuff

ii)Friday - shopped for stuff... marinated the wings at night with the prav and ck's help while the gurls, mel siu and brenda baked a special cake for JOEY and GHEE JUNE secretly...but it wasnt secret after all since siu spilled it out when joey overheard her saying something on sat...lol...siu ar!!how to keep secrets next time...sigh...haha...joking joking!!

iii) Saturday, THE DAY - started the day early setting up the pit with the help of ghee and BigManYC...i tell u he's damn good at BBQing ok...so gurls u need help at watching the fire..YC's the MAN!!! others went to get the food prepared as well as setting up the tables and chairs around the pit that's located at the backyard of Cobain...our fellow guest started coming at 1plus 2 pm...though we had a long list of guestlist...THANK YOU for those who took the trouble travelling to CLAYTON to attend the bbq!!!!!!!!!!
we apprecriate it..HOPE U ALL HAD FUN!!!some of them couldnt make it due to other unforseen reasons that came up last minute...luckily the weather was good and the bbq went well as we prayed for it to be..but it became colder when the sun began to set at 5..while some were bbqing a few of us tried the useful backyard as a playground to have a kickbout....its AWESOME i tell ya...its just what we all wanted it to be...fun and smiles all around...finished BBQing at 9 plus...set off the pit...then it was time for the BIRTHDAY celebrations...the other Parkerbains members and I decided to make it a surprise...but plan failed...i was suppose to bring GHEE and JOEY to the frontyard to have a SUPPOSEDLY chat about planning some event the following week!!guess what......this was what happened...

aaron: *wispering* psssss..PRAV!!!!!!eh im dragging ghee and joey along to the frontyard to have some crap chat bout arranging something next week while the others prepare the cake to surprise them...
prav: kk...wait wait..let me go in and do something first...ill meet u at the frontyard in a bit...

prav: yea yea...juz give me a minute...

so plan failed...brought them back in..then all of them came out singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOEY AND GHEE JUNE!!! and took pics..after that tried the tasty cake and camwhored with the 2 celebrities for the nite...bout 10 plus...visitors began to leave...the night ended at 12...where it was time to clean...

Ma fren took it after the Possum scared us while we were looking up at the eclipse two nights ago...

The possum just jumped out of no where and took us by shock.... We thought it was a super huge cat hahaha.. then it climbed a tree n sat on the neighbours wall as u can c above hehe...

HELLO people... long time no c.. hahaha

The last time v met u were dis tall and now wow u r still this tall.... (its praevin referring to Ghee June)

This was smtg that happened last Sunday after the guys came back from the city.... I was in my room and Toad Man came into my room n he looked at and talked to me like he never seen me for ten years alrd hahahaha....

So then v started fooling around and greeted each other like v have nv seen each other for ten years.. first was ck, then praevin then aaron when he came through the door... It was quite hilarious actually as we greeted each other over dramatically....

So thats where the phrase came from the one above where praevin said last time v met u were dis tall n now u r still dis tall hehe...(i dun think donghee heard)

Anyway, Praevin asked me to PLAGIARISE from my own blog and so here i m doing it..

The randomness is unbelievable as well. I was just thinking to myself if i put a cam corder or perhaps a recorder in the middle of our discussion area, i can actually turn it into some comedy central... It can be late nite with the parkerbain's hahahah gosh i think im turning into one of them...

Like yesterday we all went out to Clayton Town for dinner and the whole table was bursting with laughter 'as usual'. V seem to b the noisiest never punctual group of ppl. But put all that aside we are actually the fun gang to be with hehe.... Anyway during dinner we were having random conversations and i duno y but rambutans came up in the discussion.

i dun exactly remember who said wat but its smtg like as below

The conversation started with durians and everyone was asked if they liked durians or not and then i think there was smtg bout durian cake then suddenly they were talking bout rambutans and rambutan cake and suddenly someone said if there were rambutan ice cream there will be hair in it coz rambutans are hairy..

person 1: i like eating rambutans.. i lurve them
person 2: i dun like rambutans.. they always stick to my teeth when im eating them
person 1: but i like them. there is one type of rambutan that doesn't stick to the teeth its a special type. I forgotten its name but then it starts with C or smtg...
person 3: is it CAMBUTAN?

Anyway the dessert came and i think it was not bad i didnt try it but then i heard that the ice kacang was too sweet and the cendol looked like it has too much colouring.. anyway the ppl who ordered the cendol didnt enjoy it as the cendol colour was too green like it has too much colouring in it. then suddenly one feller said i feel like im eating planktons hahaha. and he looked at it in disgust ......

Below is Praevin's story:

Dat day at the train station we were waiting for train to go to some Cultural Night held by the Uni in Berwick... Anyway we had to wait like half an hour for the freggin train

So all of us started discussing when we wanna come back next year and stuff bout the seating n all

Then my fren Praevin looked at me n started laughing and he was like Brenda let me tell u smtg

So then he told me his amusing story.. He went berholidaying at some place i forgotten where but then i think he took the Pelangi airline... i duno if i remember correctly but then who cares dats not the main part of the story..

Then he said he went with his whole family like aunty uncle bla bla bla so everybody including his uncle was fighting for the window seat and the fight went on till someone suggested the first to get it will get it if not too bad.. so depends on yur luck

So they were all hyped up and ready to snatch and plunge for the window seat...

So all of them fought their way in to find out dat all the seats WERE WINDOW SEATS.... hahahahaha and they were like DAMN...... the plane was so unbelievably small they cant believe it... its like 1 seat on each side so everyone got a window seat hahaha...

Another Praevin story

It was during his trip here, he sat with a family who was coming over here for hols and his luck gave him a seat next to the families grandma who btw duno english or malay or any other language apart from chinese. My fren is Indian by the way who duno Chinese...

And this old lady was having difficulties doing everything and her family next to her was sleeping hahaha so my fren had to help her...

Ok first he din noe how to communicate with her and vice versa. First she fidgeted with the eating tray, the tray which is fastened to the seat.. She was like banging the thingy to the chair non stop n was like looking at my fren who stared back duno wat to do... So in the end he just helped her put it back.. Then after a while she wanted to listen to the headphones which they provided.

She put the headphones on and she waited n waited n waited but no sound came out... hahhaha then my fren just overlooked at wat was happening n he found out dat she din plug the thingy in dats y no sound came out... hahahah and then he just plugged it in for her n the grandma looked at him.... n i think she nodded...

He said to me v were communicating in silent language hahahha

OK this post is a bit too long alrd.. ppl might actually get bored reading it so thats it for now..

Good morning people.... Just decided to blog for wateva reason i duno.... I woke up wit the computer staring back at me and the blog page of ParkerBain starring back at me twice as hard and my instincts told me i had to blog... so here i m...

Its 9 am in the morning and class starts at 11, There is an exam going on for most of the Cobain ppl except praevin..

All the best to all who is taking the test... May u guys score it with flying colours after the hard work put in....

Well not really hard work for some...

Let me tell u y, there was a ManU match last nite and well the test was forgone and the match was put first as usual... So Mr. Hari gladly watched the match..... along with ghee june, aaron and choong khin i guess and praevin...

The strangest thing happened to Hari though, all his frens who dun come online came online yesterday and dat distracted him from studying for his test which he needed to do.

I told him that u can chat with frens tomorrow but you cant retake the test another day... hmm but first he said oh yeah but then he ended up saying: Ah, screw it just chat.. thats what he said when the match started to.

He came to Parker with his notes to study
Hari: I got 5 minutes to study before the match
Praevin: 'laughs' come let me show u a pic of a gal
Hari: 'sees the gal' HMMM not bad.. pretty... u like her? go after her
Praevin: No.. I dun like her she is my classmate.. im just showing it to you
Hari: Y dun you like her she is hot
Praevin: Nola.. told you she is my classmate

*conversation went on*

Hari: 'sits for a while' Oh shit, i only have three minutes to study now.. Ah screw it la

And he runs in front to watch the match... hahaha

Oh well ManU won 2-0 and well according to Ghee June Nani was BLOODING. hahahaha

Anyway gotta run now have to go get changed for class.... dun wanna chase after the bus again sighz..
