Merdeka Celebration & Open house BBQ

Since praevin, hari, ck, william and I are new tenants of the COBAINS, we had to have some party to commemorate this new place of ours in Melbourne... PLUS we never had a super big happening PARTY at this new place with our awesome friends we met here and knew back in KL..So we decide to have it in conjunction with our country's 50th Independence Day!!!!!!!woohoo...... Therefore, Parkerbains members decided that we shall take the celebration into our own hands and celebrate it on Saturday, 1st Sept since its not a public holiday here as we always did back in KL!! some of us and our dear guests have classes on merdeka friday...SADLY..so the other members who were free took time on thursday and friday to get everything we had on the list for the BBQ...if u ever think partying is tiring..wait till u go shopping on FOOT at another suburb for all this stuff!!!!!!!we had travel to and back from Springvale by bus and train...ITS CRAZY!! we had so many of us but there still wasnt enough hands for all the junks that we bought...if we were back in MALAYSIA it wouldnt be a problem u see...our rides will be there at all cost...unfortunately that isnt the case here...

anyway heres what we went through....
i)Thursday shopped for stuff

ii)Friday - shopped for stuff... marinated the wings at night with the prav and ck's help while the gurls, mel siu and brenda baked a special cake for JOEY and GHEE JUNE secretly...but it wasnt secret after all since siu spilled it out when joey overheard her saying something on sat...lol...siu ar!!how to keep secrets next time...sigh...haha...joking joking!!

iii) Saturday, THE DAY - started the day early setting up the pit with the help of ghee and BigManYC...i tell u he's damn good at BBQing ok...so gurls u need help at watching the fire..YC's the MAN!!! others went to get the food prepared as well as setting up the tables and chairs around the pit that's located at the backyard of Cobain...our fellow guest started coming at 1plus 2 pm...though we had a long list of guestlist...THANK YOU for those who took the trouble travelling to CLAYTON to attend the bbq!!!!!!!!!!
we apprecriate it..HOPE U ALL HAD FUN!!!some of them couldnt make it due to other unforseen reasons that came up last minute...luckily the weather was good and the bbq went well as we prayed for it to be..but it became colder when the sun began to set at 5..while some were bbqing a few of us tried the useful backyard as a playground to have a kickbout....its AWESOME i tell ya...its just what we all wanted it to be...fun and smiles all around...finished BBQing at 9 plus...set off the pit...then it was time for the BIRTHDAY celebrations...the other Parkerbains members and I decided to make it a surprise...but plan failed...i was suppose to bring GHEE and JOEY to the frontyard to have a SUPPOSEDLY chat about planning some event the following week!!guess what......this was what happened...

aaron: *wispering* psssss..PRAV!!!!!!eh im dragging ghee and joey along to the frontyard to have some crap chat bout arranging something next week while the others prepare the cake to surprise them...
prav: kk...wait wait..let me go in and do something first...ill meet u at the frontyard in a bit...
aaron: eh faster ah!!later bocor then i dunno... :P
prav: yea yea...juz give me a minute...
aaron: kk...

so i took them out to the frontyard....

joey: eh cold la....why must come to the frontyard and talk...why not just talk inside...?!?!
ghee: yeala damn cold!!what is it so important that we need to talk here...faster faster!!
aaron: er.....actually me and prav gotta talk to you bout something...
joey and ghee: ABOUT WHAT?!?!
aaron: er....*thinking* about arranging some event for the others next week ler.... :P
joey: cheh thats all isit...like that also need to come out to the frontyard and ask?
aaron: *crap* er...actually prav asked me to call u all out!!im not sure what he wants to tell us also... *nyek nyek*
joey: oh ok...where is he?!?!damn cold la...whats taking him so long?!?!
ghee: yeala whats taking him so long...let me go check!!!! :S *walks towards the backyard*
aaron: *OH SHAIT!!!!!!!! runs in front of him and stretches arms* wait wait...u stay here with joey...i go check whats taking that idiot so long to come!!kk?
ghee: kk..ask him fasterlah....damn cold la...
aaron: *phew* okok...wait there!! *shouts through the kitchen window into the house* wheres prav?!?! those ppl in the house damn helpful...just STONE there only.... can u help me and find prav plz!!its important...ask him to hurry up and come out....or else going to bocor di!!
william: *knocks on pravs door where everyones preparing the cake* eh prav come out..aarons calling u...faster!!
prav: okok...give me a sec...
william: he says hes coming soon
aaron: ok... *goes back to the front yard* he says hell be out soon...
joey and ghee: ok... *grins* co00000llldddddddddddd......!?!?!

after a few minutes stoning around

ghee: eh lets go in la....
joey: yea lets go...DAMN COLD LA :S
aaron: wait la he's coming........ *wtf?!?!wheres prav? im gonna kill him!!!!* *tries and stop them*
ghee: haha...i know whats happening di la...its something to do with me and joeys bday right?
joey: oh yaya...no wonder la..i heard siu talking bout some cake this morning also...hahaha....
aaron: *SHAIT!!now im really gonna kick prav's ass* sigh...yeala...that stupid fella....dunno what is taking him so long...anyway u go in juz act SURPRISED la... :S
joey: haha..okok..i will...this is fun...hahaha
ghee: haha..ok...

so plan failed...brought them back in..then all of them came out singing HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JOEY AND GHEE JUNE!!! and took pics..after that tried the tasty cake and camwhored with the 2 celebrities for the nite...bout 10 plus...visitors began to leave...the night ended at 12...where it was time to clean...
